Steve Hill, a highly respected and prolific Canadian guitarist, consistently delivers impressive performances and captivating original albums. As a multi-talented musician, he is a singer, drummer, harmonica player, songwriter, and skilled producer. Despite his numerous accomplishments, including a Juno award, collaborating with Kent Nagano and the Montreal Symphonic Orchestra, numerous Blues awards, and performing on countless stages throughout his 28-year career, his music speaks for itself as genuinely authentic. A versatile guitar stylist, Hill has performed over 2,500 concerts in various formats.
In the past eight years, he has extensively toured Canada and Europe, supporting his well-received Solo Recordings albums trilogy and one-man band show. Beginning his career as a sideman at 18 in 1993, Hill released his debut album in 1997. Since then, he has performed alongside legendary artists like Ray Charles, B.B. King, and ZZ Top and participated in some of Canada's largest music festivals.
Celebrating his 25th year as a recording artist, Steve Hill is set to release Dear Illusion on November 11th, 2022. The album, three years in the making, marks a significant milestone for the artist in terms of maturity and execution, representing his finest production to date. Known primarily as a one-man band over the past decade, Hill collaborates with The Devil Horns horn section and 7-time UK Blues Awards Drummer of the Year, Mr. Wayne Proctor, who also mixed and mastered the forthcoming record, on Dear Illusion.
With 12 original albums under his belt, Hill has explored various genres, including Rock, Country, and Folk, while always integrating his first love, the Blues, into his work.
